Arrowtown and the Ford of Bruinen November 29

Another LOTR location here. On our way out of Queenstown we took a detour to the other end of the valley to Arrowtown and checked out the LOTR location for the filming of the Ford of Bruinen. Only part of the scene here was used in the movie, they actually replaced the hills behind the creek with images from beggars canyon. But the creek and path from the left side are exactly as they were in the movie.
If you can imagine this scene without the hill in the background, you have the movie scene. Put Arwen and Frodo on the right edge of the creek, the black ridres on the left edge and have a CG flood clome along and sweep them away.
The hills around the creek were really pretty with the trees showing their fall colors. Oh, and it wasn’t a creek, it was the Arrow river. Looked like a creek to me.
